Happy Birthday Diana Ross

Diana Ross is an American singer, actress, and record producer who rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead singer of the Motown group The Supremes. She was born on March 26, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan.

Ross’ career began in the 1950s when she joined a local singing group called The Primettes, which later became The Supremes. The group had many hit songs during the 1960s, including “Baby Love,” “Stop! In the Name of Love,” and “Where Did Our Love Go,” which helped them become one of the most successful Motown groups of all time.

In the 1970s, Diana Ross left The Supremes and began a successful solo career, with hits such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Love Hangover,” and “Upside Down.” She also began acting, starring in films such as “Lady Sings the Blues” and “Mahogany.”

Throughout her career, Ross has won numerous awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the Kennedy Center Honors, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She is also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Supremes.
